Descrizione
Rezerwat Stawinoga was created from a part of a former fish farm. It is now a protected nature reserve to preserve the nesting sites of species of birds associated with the water, marsh and forest environment, as well as a resting and feeding site for migratory birds. The banks of the ponds are overgrown with rushes and reeds, and they are adjacent to willows, alder and birch groves and meadows.
You can observe several species of ducks, swans, gulls, terns, herons and four species of grebes, as well as Falco di palude, Chiurlo maggiore, Tarabuso, Cannareccione, Salciaiola and Pettazzurro. In the meadow areas near the ponds, you can find birds such as Pavoncella, Pettegola, Beccaccino and Pittima reale. In the nearby forest Cicogna nera and Gru breed. During migration many other ducks, waders and birds of prey can be observed in the area.
