At the ponds are two bird viewing hides, named De IJsvogel and De Visarend. As the name of the cabin suggests, you do indeed have a chance of seeing a Martin pescatore at De IJsvogel. You will also find various duck species in the area. At the end of summer and in the beginning of autumn, Falco pescatore is sometimes seen here.
