The steep Verklikker Dunes and Verklikker Beach are a perfect place for seabird watching. You will find many wet dune valleys with special flora. Inland the dunes gradually become flatter. This transition area was previously used by farmers. To prevent drift, they built hedgerows. Please note: there are several warning signs on Verklikker Beach that indicate the danger of the sandbanks.

Nederlands: De Verklikkerduinen en het Verklikkerstrand zijn een perfecte plaats om zeevogels te kijken. De steile duinen zijn vernoemd naar het lichtbaken (de verklikker) die hier ooit stond. Je vindt er veel natte duinvalleien met een bijzondere flora. Landinwaarts worden de duinen geleidelijk vlakker. Dit overgangsgebied werd vroeger gebruikt door boeren. Om verstuiving tegen te gaan, legden zij houtwallen aan. De oude percelen, haaimannen of elzenmeten genoemd, kun je nog duidelijk herkennen. Let op: op het Verklikkerstrand staan verschillende waarschuwingsborden die het gevaar van de zandplaten duiden.

The Verklikker Dunes and the Verklikker Beach are located directly northwest of the village of Renesse. The walking path is only accessible on foot or by bicycle. The circular walk (5.5 km) in the area can only be done on foot. You can start at the beach pavilions De Zwaluw or Zuid Zuidwest. Click on the P in the map for directions to the nearest car park. For cyclists there are parking spaces close to the beach pavilions.

Nederlands: De Verklikkerduinen en het Verklikkerstrand liggen direct ten noordwesten van Renesse. Het wandelpad is enkel te voet of met de fiets bereikbaar. De rondwandeling (5,5 km) in het gebied kan enkel te voet. Starten kan aan de strandpaviljoenen De Zwaluw of Zuid Zuidwest. Klik op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar dichtstbijzijnde parkeerplaats voor autos. Voor fietsers zijn er parkeerplaatsen bij de strandpaviljoenen.
