Schor Roelshoek is a salt marsh located in the Oosterschelde National Park. The national park is a unique and dynamic nature reserve. Thanks to the alternation of high and low tides and the presence of salt and fresh water, thousands of species of birds, plants and animals live here. Looking towards the Oosterschelde from the dike you can see many wading birds. In the fields on the other side you can see numerous meadow birds. This site gives a beautiful picture of Oosterschelde National Park. Birds you can see include: Smergo minore, Avocetta, Pittima minore, Pittima reale, Chiurlo maggiore, Beccaccia di mare, Falco di palude and Spatola.

Nederlands: Schor Roelshoek ligt in Nationaal Park Oosterschelde. Het nationaal park is een uniek en dynamisch natuurgebied. Dankzij de afwisseling van eb en vloed en de aanwezigheid van zout en zoet water leven hier duizenden soorten vogels, planten en dieren. Vanaf de dijk kijkend richting Oosterschelde kun je hier vele steltlopers zien. In de velden aan de andere zijde zie je dan weer de talrijke weidevogels. Deze birdingplace geeft een mooi beeld van Nationaal Park Oosterschelde. Vogels die je onder meer kunt zien zijn Smergo minore, Avocetta, Pittima minore, Pittima reale, Chiurlo maggiore, Beccaccia di mare, Falco di palude en Spatola.

Schor Roelshoek is located immediately north of the town of Krabbendijke. Oosterschelde National Park has no fence, no main entrance and you do not have to pay an entrance fee. You can always discover and experience the Oosterschelde. Make sure you give nature the space and peace it needs. The Scheldt dike is only accessible on foot or by bicycle. The route is located between cycle junctions 42 and 43. The dike can be reached by car via Krabbendijke.

Nederlands: Schor Roelshoek ligt meteen ten noorden van het plaatsje Krabbendijke. Nationaal Park Oosterschelde heeft geen hek, geen hoofdingang en je hoeft geen entree te betalen. De Oosterschelde kan je altijd ontdekken en beleven. Geef daarbij wel de natuur de ruimte en rust die ze nodig heeft. De Scheldedijk is enkel te voet of met de fiets toegankelijk. De route ligt tuss fietsknooppunt 42 en 43. De dijk is met de auto te bereiken via Krabbendijke.
