The Paterswiel is a small pond in the Hertogswetering stream. At the monastery you have an old garden with tall old trees and on the other side also a forest with a lot of water in between. You will encounter many birds in this area in spring and summer. Birds you may encounter include Svasso maggiore, Cuculo, Cicogna bianca, Airone bianco maggiore, Sparviere, Astore, Barbagianni, Martin pescatore, Picchio rosso maggiore, Picchio rosso minore, Picchio verde, Smeriglio, Falco pellegrino, Forapaglie comune, Rampichino comune, Cutrettola and Fanello.

Nederlands: Het Paterswiel is kleine waterplas in de Hertochswetering. Bij de paters heb je een oude tuin met hoge oude bomen en aan de andere kant ook een bos waar veel water tussen aanwezig is. Je komt in dit gebiedje veel vogels tegen in het voorjaar en zomer.
