Oude Veerseweg is a wet meadow bird area. Salt water comes up here and there. A circular walk is possible with a view from the towpath and there is a bird watching screen. Plenty of birds to see in the spring. Among the birds you can see here are Spatola, Oca facciabianca, Oca lombardella, Mestolone, Alzavola, Pittima reale, Pettegola, Chiurlo maggiore and Avocetta.

Nederlands: Oude Veerseweg is een nat weidevogelgebied bij Middelburg in beheer van Zeeuws Landschap. Hier en daar komt zout water omhoog. Er is een rondwandeling mogelijk met zicht vanaf het jaagpad en er is een vogelkijkscherm aanwezig. Volop vogels te zien in het voorjaar. Vogels die je hier kunt zien zijn: Spatola, Oca facciabianca, Oca lombardella, Mestolone, Alzavola, Pittima reale, Pettegola, Chiurlo maggiore en Avocetta.
