The Margarethapolder is located east of the city of Terneuzen. The creek remnants located on the northwest side of the polder have been converted into a nature reserve. The area attracts many meadow and water birds. From a viewing screen you can see birds such as Pittima reale, Avocetta, Combattente, Piovanello pancianera, Beccaccia di mare, Pettegola, Sterna comune and Allodola. Because the area is a high-tide refuge for birds, it is best to visit the birdwatching screen at high tide, as more birds are present then. There is also a bird migration counting post near the birdwatching screen on the sea wall.

Nederlands: De Margarethapolder ligt ten oosten van Terneuzen. De kreekrestanten die zich aan de noordwestkant van de polder bevinden zijn omgezet in natuurgebied. Het gebied trekt veel weide- en watervogels. Vanuit een kijkscherm kun je vogels zien als Pittima reale, Avocetta, Combattente, Piovanello pancianera, Beccaccia di mare, Pettegola, Sterna comune en Allodola. Omdat het gebied ook fungeert als een hoogwatervluchtplaats kun je het vogelkijkscherm het beste bezoeken bij hoog water, aangezien er dan de meer vogels aanwezig zijn. Vlakbij het kijkscherm op de zeedijk bevindt zich ook nog een vogeltrekpost.

The Margarethapolder is located east of Terneuzen. The area can be reached from the Huissenspolderweg, where a birdwatching screen can be found on the east side of the road. A bird counting post (marked with a star on the map) has been set up on the other side of the road. There is a path on the sea wall side of the area near the birdwatching screen. The area is not freely accessible otherwise. However, the area can be seen very well from the sea wall, where the bird migration counting post can also be found. The counting post also has benches and you can sit there out of the wind. Parking is possible near the birdwatching screen. Press P on the map for directions.

Nederlands: De Margarethapolder ligt ten oosten van Terneuzen. Het gebied is te bereiken vanaf de Huissenspolderweg, waar een vogelkijkscherm aan de oostzijde van de weg te vinden is. Aan de overkant van de weg is een vogeltelpost (gemarkeerd met een ster op de kaart) ingericht. Er loopt een padje aan de zeedijkkant van het gebied nabij het kijkscherm. Verder is het gebied niet vrij toegankelijk. Maar het gebied is vanaf zeedijk, waar ook de telpost is te vinden, bijzonder goed te overzien. De telpost heeft ook bankjes en je kunt er uit de wind zitten. Parkeren kan vlakbij het vogelkijkscherm. Druk op P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving.
