The Liesinger Plak is a wetland north of the village of Lies. It is a shallow marshy dune lake surrounded by dunes and forest. Among the birds you can encounter are Pavoncella, Tuffetto, Piro piro culbianco, Beccaccia di mare, Topino, Balestruccio, Alzavola, Folaga, Volpoca and Mestolone here.

Nederlands: Het Liesinger Plak is van oorsprong een natte duinvallei ten noorden van het dorp Lies. De Liesinger Plak is tegenwoordig een heel ondiepe en dicht begroeide duinplas omgeven door duinen en bossen. Leuk om tussen de vegetatie te speuren naar vogels en soms duiken hier verrassende soorten op. De meer gangbare vogels die je hier kunt tegenkomen zijn Pavoncella, Tuffetto, Piro piro culbianco, Beccaccia di mare, Topino, Balestruccio, Alzavola, Folaga, Volpoca en Mestolone.

Easy to reach by bike and on foot from the village of Lies. The entrance is at the shed of Staatsbosbeheer. A footpath runs around the area and there are benches from which you can have a nice view of the Liesinger Plak. There are even two luxurious seats from where you can observe the birds. A walk around the Liesinger Plak can be easily combined with a walk through the adjacent Formerumerbos (also described on Birdingplaces).

Nederlands: Gemakkelijk met de fiets en te voet te bereiken vanuit het dorp Lies. De ingang is bij de werkschuur van Staatsbosbeheer. Een voetpad loopt om het gebied en er staan bankjes vanaf waar je de Liesinger Plak mooi kunt overzien. Er staan zelfs twee luxe zitstoelen vanaf waar je de vogels goed kunt observeren. Een wandeling rondom de Liesinger Plak is goed te combineren met een wandeling door het aangrenzende Formerumerbos (ook beschreven op Birdingplaces).
