Landgoed Scherpenzeel is an old estate located around the village of Scherpenzeel. The estate has forest and heathland. Small agricultural plots are bordered by wooded banks and alder groves, or border small plots of forest. Lanes and paths with old oaks run through them. Around the fens in the area you can find birds such as Martin pescatore, Moretta, Tuffetto, Cuculo and Piro piro culbianco. In the woods you have a chance of seeing, among others, Ciuffolotto, Crociere comune, Prispolone, Regolo, Cincia dal ciuffo, Picchio rosso minore, Corvo imperiale and Astore.

Nederlands: Landgoed Scherpenzeel is een landgoed dat gelegen is rondom het dorp Scherpenzeel. Het landgoed is een oud familiebezit van circa 1000 ha in het zuiden van de Gelderse Vallei, bestaande uit landbouwgronden, bossen, en natuurterreinen. Landgoed Scherpenzeel heeft een kenmerkend 'coulissenlandschap'. Kleine landbouwpercelen die zijn omzoomd met houtwallen en elzensingels, of grenzen aan kleine percelen bos. Daar doorheen lopen lanen en paden met oude eiken. Rondom de vennen in het gebied kun je vogels aantreffen zoals Martin pescatore, Moretta, Tuffetto, Cuculo en Piro piro culbianco. In de bossen maak je kans of onder meer Ciuffolotto, Crociere comune, Prispolone, Regolo, Cincia dal ciuffo, Picchio rosso minore, Corvo imperiale en Astore.

On Landgoed Scherpenzeel you can walk and cycle freely on roads and paths, unless otherwise indicated. A number of marked hiking trails run across the estate. The Breeschoterpad (indicated on the map) is a 6 km circular walk that largely runs across the Estate. The walk is marked in two directions with yellow clogs. Sturdy and waterproof footwear is recommended. Starting point Restaurant De Dennen (Utrechtseweg 34, 3927 AW Renswoude). Press the P on the map for directions to the car park. Public transport: Bus stop De Dennen, Renswoude.

Nederlands: Op Landgoed Scherpenzeel kun je vrij wandelen en fietsen op wegen en paden, tenzij anders aangegeven. Een aantal gemarkeerde wandelroutes lopen over het landgoed. Het Breeschoterpad (aangegeven op de kaart) is een rondwandeling van 6 km die grotendeels over Landgoed Scherpenzeel loopt. De wandeling is gemarkeerd in twee richtingen met gele klompjes. Stevig en waterdicht schoeisel wordt aanbevolen. Startpunt Restaurant De Dennen (Utrechtseweg 34, 3927 AW Renswoude). Druk op de P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar de parkeerplaats.
