The Woudhuis estate covers 225 hectares and has a natural historical- as wel as an cultural historical value and is a mix of forest, flowery meadows and tree-lined avenues with old trees. In 1997 on the north side of the estate Het Schol nature development area was set up. This was done to restore the special wet conditions in this area. The nutrient-rich top layer of a pasture was excavated and three pools were constructed. The result was great: many special plant species can be seen again, such as orchids and parnassia. You will also see different types of dragonflies, butterflies, amphibians. And of course birds. Among the nice birds you can see here are Tuffetto, Cicogna bianca, Corvo imperiale, Ciuffolotto, Picchio verde and Codibugnolo.

Nederlands: Landgoed Woudhuis beslaat 225 hectare en heeft zowel een natuurhistorische als cultuurhistorische waarde. Het is een mix van bos, bloemrijke weilanden en lanen met oude bomen. In 1997 is aan de noordzijde van het landgoed natuurontwikkelingsgebied Het Schol aangelegd om de bijzondere natte omstandigheden in dit gebied te herstellen. De voedselrijke toplaag van een weiland is afgegraven en er zijn drie poelen aangelegd. Het resultaat was er naar: er zijn weer veel bijzondere plantensoorten te zien, zoals orchideeën en parnassia. Je ziet ook verschillende soorten libellen, vlinders, amfibieën. En natuurlijk vogels. Onder de vogels die je hier kunt zien zijn Tuffetto, Cicogna bianca, Corvo imperiale, Ciuffolotto, Picchio verde en Codibugnolo.

If not to wet the area is wheelchair accessible. The nature reserve lies directly next to the highway A50. With a westerly wind it can be a bit noisy.
