Descrizione

Het Grote Vlak often holds a lot of ducks ( Mestolone , Canapiglia , Codone , Volpoca , Fischione and in spring Marzaiola ), gulls and grebes. Sometimes waders, like Pittima reale , are abundant and few songbirds, like Spioncello and Saltimpalo (sometimes even Pettazzurro ), can be found. The area is also good for finding Colombella , Culbianco and in winter Poiana calzata .

Het Grote Vlak is easily accessible from the village of Den Hoorn towards the beach. You can park on the roadside, but try to give way to cyclists on the parallel cycle path.
