To create Plan Tureluur agricultural land was returned to nature. Lowlands, shallow pools and creek courses were created. The whole area covers more than 1000 hectares and is part of Oosterschelde National Park. Gasthuisbevang, was the last area to be developed and is extremely rich in birds. You will see countless Volpoca, Beccaccia di mare, Avocetta, Pettegola, Pittima reale, Chiurlo maggiore, Combattente, Pantana, Beccaccino and Spatola foraging in the shallow pools or in the creeks. The presence of arable farming in the vicinity also attracts farmland birds such as Allodola, Pavoncella and Cutrettola.

Nederlands: Plan Tureluur is een natuurgebied op het eiland Schouwen-Duiveland in Zeeland. Om het natuurgebied aan te leggen werd landbouwgrond teruggegeven aan de natuur. Er werden laagtes, ondiepe plassen en krekenlopen aangelegd. Het geheel beslaat meer dan 1000 hectare en is onderdeel van Nationaal Park Oosterschelde. De gebieden rond Zierikzee ten noorden van de N59, onder de naam Gasthuisbevang, werden als laatst ingericht en zijn enorm rijk aan vogels. Je ziet talloze Volpoca, Beccaccia di mare, Avocetta, Pettegola, Pittima reale, Chiurlo maggiore, Combattente, Pantana, Beccaccino en Spatola bij de ondiepe plassen of in de kreken foerageren. De aanwezigheid van akkerbouw in de nabije omgeving trekt ook akkervogels als Allodola, Pavoncella en Cutrettola aan.
