Flevopark has different habitats (meadow, water, forest, cemetery) and is a quiet city park. Due to its location close to Diemerpark, on the edge of the city, on the water of the Nieuwe Diep and on an ecological connection zone, all kinds of animals come to visit the park. And birds that you will not easily encounter in an isolated city park such as Vondelpark or Oosterpark. What also helps is that there is an area that is not allowed to be entered and functions as a rest and shelter for many animal species: the Jewish Cemetery. Birds that you can encounter in the Flevopark include: Gufo comune, Tuffetto, Parrocchetto dal collare, Picchio rosso maggiore, Regolo, Codibugnolo, Sterna comune, Airone cenerino, Nitticora and Martin pescatore.

Nederlands: Flevopark is een fijn stadspark in Amsterdam met veel natuurwaarde en zo nu en dan een leuke verrassing. Variërend in stijl (weide, water, bos, begraafplaats) en rustig stadspark. Door locatie vlakbij Diemerpark, ligging aan de rand van de stad, aan het water van het Nieuwe Diep en aan een ecologische verbindingszone komt er in het park van alles op bezoek. Zo komen er planten en dieren voor die je in een geïsoleerd gelegen stadspark als het Vondelpark of Oosterpark niet snel zult tegenkomen. Wat daarbij ook helpt is dat er tussen de bebouwing en het Flevopark een gebied ligt, dat niet betreden mag worden en functioneert als een rust- en schuilplaats voor tal van diersoorten: de Joodse Begraafplaats. Vogels die je in het Flevopark onder meer kunt tegenkomen zijn Gufo comune, Tuffetto, Parrocchetto dal collare, Picchio rosso maggiore, Regolo, Codibugnolo, Sterna comune, Airone cenerino, Nitticora en Martin pescatore.

The Flevopark is located on the east side of Amsterdam on the lake Benedendiep and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. The park can be reached from the city by bicycle or public transport (tram 7 and 14). Paid parking is possible at Jeugdland. See the P on the map. The walking route indicated on the map is approximately 3 km.

Nederlands: Het Flevopark ligt aan de oostzijde van Amsterdam aan het Benedendiep en het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal. Vanuit de stad is het park bereikbaar met de fiets of openbaar vervoer (tram 7 en 14). Betaald parkeren kan bij Jeugdland. Zie de P op de kaart. De wandelroute die is aangeveven op de kaart is ongeveer 3 km.
