The Deestse Waarden is a newly developed area where the river Waal is allowed to take its own course and bring changes to the landscape due to high and low water. The river nature is abundant and birds that can be seen are Avocetta, Corriere piccolo, Volpoca, Falco pescatore, Mestolone, Airone bianco maggiore, Falco pellegrino, Martin pescatore, Pettazzurro, Smergo maggiore.
