Parc Lalla Hasna is a large city park near the city centre of Marrakech. It is located right next to the large Koutoubia mosque and the large El Fna square. It's a great place to observe many species of songbird in this very green part of the city. The park is divided by several pathways all leading to the fountain in the center of the park. The rest of the park contains many trees, bushes and flowerbeds.
The (palm)trees are used by common species of songbird, like Bulbul golanera, Storno nero and Zigolo delle case. Other scarcer species, like Averla maggiore and Canapino pallido occidentale, can be found in especially the more quiet areas near the edges of the park. If you're lucky, the very beautiful Codirosso algerino might show itself!
Flocks of swifts, being mainly Rondone pallido and Rondone indiano, tend to hang around the mosque tower and also over the park. Sometimes a Rondone comune or Rondone maggiore can be found within these flocks.
Also predatory birds can be observed above the park, like Aquila minore and Nibbio bruno. Gheppio can be found perching on (mostly) palm trees.
