Great news for a bird that was in danger of extinction not so long ago. This is the area where you have a very good chance to see them. Often flying past but also foraging in the sandy areas and dunes bordering the coast. Sometimes the Ibis eremita can sit surprisingly close to the road and are not shy. Other birds you may encounter in the area are Gabbiano corso, Averla maggiore, Cappellaccia di Thekla, Cappellaccia, Monachella, Codirosso algerino, Occhiocotto, Sterpazzolina and Sterpazzola della Sardegna.

The Tamri Dune area is located north of the village of Tamri, about 55 km north of Agadir on the coastal road. You can park along the unpaved roads, see the map. Click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates. Please respect the paths and stay on the paths so as not to disturb the birds. Most Ibis eremita are observed in winter and spring.
