Langness has good seawatch viewpoints north and south. The east coast is rocky and good for Gracchio corallino, Merlo dal collare, Gufo di palude, Barbagianni and Saltimpalo. The west coast has exposed mud and seaweed-strewn rock at low tide frequented by herons, egrets, Beccaccia di mare, Volpoca, Piovanello violetto, Voltapietre and Chiurlo maggiore. Rarities seen here include Calandra, Gambecchio di Bonaparte and Tortora selvatica.

Isle of Man can be visited by ferry from Liverpoool, Heysham, Belfast or Dublin, or by air from several airports. Car park at Derbyhaven which is on a regular bus route, then short walk across to Langness. Or park on the island near the lighthouse. Be aware there is a golf course; dont obstruct play or become an accidental target.
