Designed to replicate various ecosystems, the National Botanical Garden of Iran features forests, wetlands, and meadows that attract a wide range of bird species. One of the ponds is a good place to see Nitticora, Sgarza ciuffetto, Martin pescatore and Gabbiano comune. During the spring you can find Sparviere shikra, Rigogolo and different migrating warblers such as Capinera and Canapino pallido orientale. In the winter, thrushes come to the garden, including Tordo bottaccio, Tordo golanera and Tordo sassello.

The National Botanical Garden of Iran is situated just a few kilometers west of Tehran, making it easily accessible by metro. To get there, take the Tehran-Karaj Metro and exit at Iran-Khodro Station. From the station, you can either walk for about 35 minutes or take a taxi for a quicker trip. Exploring the entire garden on foot takes approximately 2 to 3 hours, allowing you to fully enjoy its diverse landscapes and rich biodiversity.
