Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like Moretta codona, Marangone dal ciuffo, Sula, Gazza marina minore, Moretta arlecchino and Smergo minore. You might also see Strolaga minore and Strolaga maggiore. Örfirsey has also hosted a male Orco marino del Pacifico every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Zigolo delle nevi might pass, and along the rocks there might be Uria nera.
