Just north of Sigri, several irrigated fields and groves are located. These areas can be packed with migrants during spring migration; especially during fall conditions. The groves can be packed with flycatchers, redstarts, warblers, buntings, Rigogolo and chats. The wires and fences are worth checking for migrating shrikes, like Averla capirossa and Averla cenerina. Harriers tend to hunt above the surrounding fields, like Albanella minore. In winter, Martin pescatore can be seen next to the shoreline.
Migration can be seen during mostly the morning, and large flocks of raptors, falcons, storks, herons, swifts and bee-eaters can be seen flying overhead.
Locally, Grillaio breeds and tend to forage in these fields too. Pairs are often mixed with other falcons, like Falco cuculo.
