Descrizione
The Korakas headland provides some great spots for arriving migrants during autumn migration; especially the olive groves on this side of the headland. These groves can be packed with mixed flocks of migrants, like Codirosso, Balia nera, Pigliamosche and many species of warblers. The area is also used by Picchio muratore during the breeding season, and lots of Picchio rosso mezzano can be found here too.
Some parts of the track provide a great view over the strait towards Turkey, so scan the skies for migrating raptors, storks, swifts and hirundines.
