Descrizione
The Molivos viewpoint is located on the hills just northeast of Molivos, and provides a perfect view for migrating birds in autumn. During this time of year, migrants, like raptors and storks, tend to travel from Turkey to Lesvos flying fairly low over the strait. Once they reached Lesvos, they tend to use the warmer air to gain height and cross the island. Common species that can be seen here are buzzards (Steppe Buzzard, Poiana codabianca), harriers (Falco di palude, Albanella minore and Albanella pallida), Nibbio bruno, Falco pescatore, Sparviere, Astore, and storks (Cicogna nera, Cicogna bianca). Flocks of swallows, martins, Gruccione, and swifts can be seen here too.
Over the strait, large flocks of Berta minore can be seen. Sometimes Berta maggiore mediterranea can be spotted within these flocks. Also keep an eye out for dolphins.
The surrounded hills are good for species like Monachella and Zigolo capinero.

Accesso
The viewpoint itself is somewhat of a climb. There's not really a track going to the top, but you can reach it fairly easily from the northside of the hill. Still, if you're not in the mood/able to climb this part, there are multiple spots you can stand to observe the strait.
