Descrizione
More than 100 bird species have been seen in Levadi marsh . On one side this semi-flooded marsh area is bordered by the sea. A road to a quarry runs on one side along from the sea and on the other side the marsh is overlooked by a hillside. The small wetland attracts wading birds such as Garzetta, Airone bianco maggiore, Sgarza ciuffetto and Alzavola. Also Martin pescatore can be seen. The surrounding reeded pools, scrubland and fir trees also attract tits, finches, Falco di palude and Occhiocotto. It’s also common to see Gruccione and buzzards and eagles in this area.
