Rhodes is a very dry island, smaller birds breed early before vegetation dies back. At Lindos you can find the usual mediterranean versions of swifts, swallows, warblers and Monachella. Birds of prey include Gheppio, Grillaio (especially at the acropolis), Assiolo and Poiana codabianca. Other birds you can encounter are Sgarza ciuffetto, Occhione, Averla capirossa, Rondine rossiccia and Gambecchio comune.

Lindos is located on the south-east coast on Rhodes, 40 km south of Rhodes town. You can take a bus or coach from Rhodes town to Lindos.
