Descrizione

Viewpoint above the Bergener See. The dry lake originated from lignite extraction, typical for the region. After a severe landslide, the lake lost a lot of water and was abondoned for the next years, until now. There is even a visible half-way sunken red truck in the lake, where the driver had to be rescued by helicopter after the landslide. As bad as this landslide was, it created a special open habitat. The place is known as the best spot for watching wild wolves. For birding, this landscape provides habitat for Succiacapre, Averla piccola, Pettazzurro and common crane. At dusk, multiple Succiacapre can fly above your head.
