Most of the birds in Stadtpark Leonberg are used to people, so you can usually get close enough for photos. In the park you can find, among others, Oca selvatica, Oca egiziana, Germano reale, Folaga, Gallinella d'acqua, Picchio verde. You can also often see (mostly in the southern part of the park): Nibbio reale, Nibbio bruno and Poiana.
