Here you can observe Airone cenerino, Martin pescatore, Ballerina gialla and the Merlo acquaiolo. In the forest you can see species such as the Cincia bigia, Picchio rosso maggiore or Verdone.

NSG Hainbuchenwald in der Wupperschleife is located on the northern outskirts of Leverkusen along the river Wupper. You have to park either in the residential area or at the pedestrian bridge a little further away. Click on the P in the map for directions. The path indicated on the map is 1,2 km one way.
