The Mittlere Horloffaue is an important marsh and wetland area. Various breeding, migratory, resting and winter birds are regularly present in the Mittlere Horloffaue. As breeding birds you can find here Cicogna bianca, Pavoncella, Pettazzurro and Strillozzo. On migration you can see Gru and different spieces of waterbird. As winter guests you can see Oca lombardella and Oca granaiola della taiga.
