Descrizione
The Langwieser See is a small lake. The lake itself isn't very good for birding, but sometimes you can spot Martin pescatore there. In the reed area about 100 meters east of the lake, in winter you can see for example Migliarino di palude and sometimes also Porciglione. In summer it's full of Cannaiola. West to the lake, there are nice water reservoirs, which in winter often contain Frullino (best to spot with a thermal imaging camera), and sometimes Beccaccino.
South to the reservoirs, there is a smal bush land with Zigolo giallo, Cardellino and in winter often Peppola. In the gardens and trees along the small stream you can find Lucherino in winter and Codirosso and Sterpazzola in summer. Sometimes you can also hear a Usignolo here.
Very good are the fields around the whole area. During migration you can see Pispola, Cannaiola verdognola, Saltimpalo (sometimes also staying over winter), Astore, Culbianco, Cutrettola, Bigiarella and rarely Torcicollo, Pavoncella and Albanella reale. All year round you will find Fanello, Allodola, Airone cenerino and Gheppio. Sometimes you can also see Starna, Sparviere or Falco pellegrino.
