Descrizione
The Hollerner See is a 30-hectare quarry lake that was created on the site of a former gravel pit. Although the lake was only completed in 2019 and there are many bathers in the summer, many species of birds have settled there. Different species of ducks, Svasso maggiore, Tuffetto and Oca selvatica can be found on the lake. The geese use the lake as a breeding and moulting ground.
In spring and summer Cannareccione, Cannaiola, Migliarino di palude and Tarabusino breed in the reeds on the shore. Corriere piccolo and Piro piro piccolo can often be seen on the small island. In the area around the lake you can see Fagiano comune, Starna, Picchio verde and Zigolo giallo all year round. Cannaiola verdognola, Canapino maggiore, Sterpazzola and Luì grosso in the summer months.
