The Herrenteich attracts various waders (Corriere piccolo, Pantana, Totano moro, Piro piro boschereccio, Piro piro culbianco, Beccaccino), especially during migration times. These birds are less common regionally. You can often see the Martin pescatore, Ballerina gialla, Nibbio bruno, Nibbio reale and various ducks and geese. From time to time Cicogna nera, Sparviere, Astore are flying over. Now and then, Falco pescatore, Falco di palude, and Lodolaio can also be seen.
The area can be seen from two sides and the footbridges can be walked on. One side of the lake is overgrown with trees. Another is covered with reeds.
