Descrizione
Böhmerweiher consists of two lakes. The smaller lake supports Tuffetto, Gallinella d'acqua and Folaga. Alzavola overwinter here. The larger lake often attracts visiting waterfowl in the winter: Oca selvatica, Canapiglia, Svasso maggiore, more rarely Fischione, Volpoca or Smergo maggiore. Martin pescatore fish in both ponds.
In the gravel areas and streams surrounding the lakes Zigolo giallo and Luì grosso sing from the bushes. Picchio verde feed on the ants. Porciglione skulks on the banks. Cannaiola and Migliarino di palude populate the reeds in the spring and summer. Occasional visitors like the Upupa can surprise you by stopping to rest during their migration.
Beccaccino sometimes forage in the wet fields surrounding Böhmerweiher. And sometimes Falco pellegrino hunt for prey.
