At Bärenbrücker Teiche you can see especially in winter many ducks like Mestolone, Fischione, Germano reale, Codone, Alzavola, Fistione turco, Moretta tabaccata, Moretta and Moretta grigia. And you can also find several species of geese like Oca selvatica, Oca lombardella, Oca granaiola della tundra and at the narrow fields you can see Oca granaiola della tundra, Oca collorosso and Oca facciabianca. In winter you can also find some Cigno selvatico, Cigno minore and all year around many Cigno reale.
In spring and autumn many limicoles visit Bärenbrücker Teiche. Waders such as Avocetta, Pivieressa, Pavoncella, Corriere grosso, Corriere piccolo, Pittima minore, Piovanello maggiore, Combattente, Piovanello comune, Gambecchio nano, Piovanello pancianera, Gambecchio comune and Beccaccino.

Bärenbrücker Teiche is located 15 km northeast of the city of Cottbus and immediately north of the village of Bärenbrück. From Dorfstraße you can drive with car or bike to a little road between Unterteich and Streckteich. At the middle of the little road is a little spot were you can parc your car. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking spot. From there another little path leads to the Unterteich where most birds can be observed.
