The Baddeckenstedt Teiche are ponds that are located in the nature reserve Mittleres Innerstetal, about 6 km east of the Derneburg ponds. Numerous waterfowl breed here, including around 15 pairs of Tuffetto , 1-2 pairs of Svasso piccolo and, for the first time in 2010, a pair of Svasso collorosso. Occasionally, Svasso maggiore also breed. In addition to Germano reale and Cigno reale, Moretta, Moriglione and Canapiglia are at home here.
