Descrizione
Tendaba Camp is located right on the banks of the Gambia River, about 150 km upstream from the capital Banjul. The big attraction are the mangroves and wetlands in this part of the river. From the camp you need to cross the river to make a beautiful boat trip through these bird-rich mangroves, marshes, reed beds and open flooded fields. Among the birds you can observe are Great White Pelican, Pink-backed Pelican, African Fish-eagle, African Finfoot, Woolly-necked Stork, African Darter, White-backed Night Heron, Goliath Heron, Malachite Kingfisher and Mouse-brown Sunbird.

SiInformazioni aggiuntive
I Visited the place with guide Ebrima Ceesay (Passy) who is "passionate " about birds and surprised us everytime with his knowledge of the species. The photohide gives you a chance to see a variety of smaller birds like several species of finches, firefinch, red-cheeked CordonBlue and many others. Common are several species of Glossy Starlings and Sunbirds.
