In a traditional countryside of pastures filled with flowers and woodland, around 900 m high, a wide variety of passerines can be seen relatively easily. Averla piccola , Tottavilla , Saltimpalo are everywhere, Codirosso and Fanello are around the villages, and Culbianco on stone walls. Some Stiaccino can still be found in marshy grassland, and raptors are frequent ( Nibbio reale , Albanella minore , Biancone)
But the main species here are Averla maggiore which tend to be rare nowadays, and Passera lagia who are nesting in few numbers.
