Parc de l'Ovalie et Canal du Furon is particularly interesting for observing the Merlo acquaiolo. At least one couple is present there all year round and due to the fairly high attendance of the park, the birds are relatively accustomed to human presence. The setting is also very good for making beautiful photos. It is also possible to observe quite easily the Martin pescatore and many passerines such as Cardellino, Verzellino, Frosone, but also Zigolo muciatto in winter.

Français: Petit parc très sympa avec de belles prairies, de nombreux arbres et surtout un joli ruisseau qui constitue un passage de choix pour plusieurs espèces. Ce site est particulièrement intéressant pour l'observation du Merlo acquaiolo ! Au moins un couple y est présent toute l'année et de part la fréquentation assez importante du parc, est relativement habitué à la présence humaine. Le décor est également propice à de très belles photos. Il est également possible d'y observer assez facilement le Martin pescatore et de nombreux passereaux comme le Cardellino, le Verzellino, le Frosone mais aussi le Zigolo muciatto en hiver.

Accesso
Parc de l'Ovalie et Canal du Furon is easily accessible by bike from Grenoble along the rivers Drac and Isère. It is also possible to park in the area. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. Public transport: the terminus of tram A is about a 35-minute walk from the park.
