Descrizione
Neuvry is a very good spot for waterbirds, and also for local rarities. Gabbiano corallino and Gabbiano comune breed in small numbers, as do Fistione turco , Moretta and Svasso piccolo. Airone guardabuoi, Airone bianco maggiore and Garzetta are all regular. Waders are quite common in stopover, especially Tringa sandpipers. Frullino winters in the area.
Gabbianello , Mignattino piombato, Mignattino comune and Falco pescatore are regular. This also a good place for ducks in migration period. Among the recent rarities are Albastrello , Sgarza ciuffetto , Moretta codona , Svasso collorosso , Gambecchio nano and Sterna codalunga.

The gravel pit is located directly north of the village of Neuvry. By car only (no train station around). You can go first to the western bird hide, and then walk along the eastern shore of the lake on the dirt road. Be careful, driving is forbidden on the dirt road around the lake, you're in a Natural Reserve, you may be fined. The circular walking route is about 4,5 km.
