Around Massif du Hohneck and Cirque du Frankenthal you can observe the majority of birds of the mid-mountains of the Vosges. Thanks to the presence of several natural environments such as mountain pastures, cliffs and high-altitude forests. Among the birds you can encounter are Falco pellegrino, Pispola, Spioncello, Zigolo muciatto, Culbianco, Stiaccino, Corvo imperiale, Rondine montana, Merlo dal collare and Nocciolaia.
