Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including Pettazzurro, Cannareccione, Forapaglie comune, Tarabusino, Porciglione and Falco di palude. Pendolino has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests Ciuffolotto, Lodolaio, Luì grosso and Nibbio bruno are quite easy to see. Occhione and Quattrocchi can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
