Along the river Ognon and the forest and lakes of Bonnal many bird species can be observed. Especially Gruccione, Nibbio reale, Verzellino, Nibbio bruno and Martin pescatore. In summer it is also possible to see big groups of Cicogna bianca en Poiana. The best way to see birds at the river L'Ognon is by canoe, you can see many groups of Gruccione breeding. Other birds you can see in the area are Picchio rosso mezzano, Picchio verde and Falco pecchiaiolo.
