The east bank of Etang de Soustons is urbanised and the west bank difficult to access on foot. Perhaps a boat is best, through info site and viewpoint available on the jetty at north end. Point de Vergnes in the town is another good spot. Tarabusino and varied selection of sylvia and leaf warblers in the marginal woods. Also Gabbiano reale, Garzetta, Lodolaio, Falco pescatore, Cicogna bianca and many more. Breeding spot for frogs, toads and newts in spring. Otter and mink.
