In the spring Etang de la Horre hosts many migrant birds Moretta, Falco pescatore, Mignattino piombato, Lodolaio etc. In summer, the nesting period one can observe Airone bianco maggiore, Tuffetto, Garzetta, Mestolone, Canapiglia, Germano reale, , Albanella minore, Falco pecchiaiolo etc. In winter, many birds stop here, or stay here Gru, Cigno minore etc. There are also a large number of plant species and many animal species. (bats, dragonflies, butterflies, amphibians).

Français: Situé à la frontière des deux départements Aube/Haute Marne, à environ 10 km de Montier en Der, l'étang de la Horre est un site qui vaut le détour. Au printemps il accueille de nombreux oiseaux migateurs Moretta, Falco pescatore, Mignattino piombato, Lodolaio etc. En été, période de nidification on peut observer Airone bianco maggiore, Tuffetto, Garzetta, Mestolone, Canapiglia, Germano reale, Nibbio bruno, Albanella minore, Falco pecchiaiolo etc. En hiver, de nombreux oiseaux y font une halte, ou y restent Gru, Cigno minore etc. Il y a aussi un grand nombre d'espèces végétales et de nombreuses espèces animales. (chauves souris, libellules, papillons, amphibiens).

Accesso
Only the southern basin is accessible. It is possible to get to the central dike which separates the two basins by taking the forest path located on the road that leads to the pond (you have to park your vehicle at the entrance to the path and continue on foot for about 1km after the barrier). Access can also be done by the small path which borders the right of the pond and which runs alongside the fishing pontoons on the southern basin.

Français: Seul le bassin sud est accessible. Il est possible de se rendre sur la digue centrale qui sépare les deux bassins en empruntant la sente forestière située sur la route qui mène à l'étang (il faut garer son véhicule à l'entrée du chemin et poursuivre à pied sur 1km environ après la barrière). L'accès peut également se faire par le petit sentier qui borde la droite de l'étang et qui longe les pontons de pêche sur le bassin sud.
