This large pond is home to nice nesting species as Fistione turco, Moriglione, Moretta, Canapiglia, Forapaglie comune, Airone rosso. In the surrounding bocage, Averla piccola, Tottavilla,Albanella minore are also nesting.
In winter, the pond can be hosting Alzavola, Moriglione, Moretta, Fischione and several vagrants. The place is also really great in times of migration with lots of passerines in the hedgerows and waterfowl on the pond.
