Etang David is a place filled with bush birds, especially in springtime: Capinera, Usignolo, Tortora selvatica are easy to find, as well as Martin pescatore and Fistione turco on the pond. Woodpeckers can be found on deciduous trees: Picchio rosso maggiore, Picchio rosso minore, Picchio verde, Picchio nero.
The place is also a nesting area for herons: Nitticora, Airone cenerino, Airone guardabuoi can be spotted from the pond side.
Some raptors: Nibbio bruno, Lodolaio and with chance Nibbio reale and Biancone are easy to spot hunting around.
Unusual birds like Pendolino are possible during a walk across this picturesque little place.
