Ruusuniemi is a nice place for observing waterfowl as they swim around the area or fly by. Germano reale , Quattrocchi , Moretta , Cigno reale , Oca canadese , Cigno selvatico , Smergo maggiore and Smergo minore are a common sight from this spot. Birders have also sighted Pesciaiola among other duck species and Airone bianco maggiore flying by. There's also a bird feeding spot in a walking distance during winter times.
