Descrizione
Kallahdenniemen Uimaranta: the beach is a great place to watch birds during migration seasons as many species stop to rest and feed near the shore. Migrating waders are among the most interesting birds to see on the beach and it's possible to see a lot of rarer species if one is lucky. Beccaccia di mare and Piro piro piccolo are a pretty common sight by the beach and it's possible to spot waders like Piovanello pancianera , Piro piro boschereccio , Piovanello comune ,Pantana , Corriere grosso , Corriere piccolo , Gambecchio nano , Combattente , Chiurlo piccolo , Pittima minore and Totano moro. Some lucky birders have even spotted Avocetta here.
Gavina , Gabbiano comune , Gabbiano reale nordico , Zafferano , Sterna comune , Sterna codalunga and Sterna maggiore are regular birds by the beach. Smergo maggiore , Smergo minore , Cigno reale ,Germano reale , Quattrocchi , Moretta and Oca canadese are also common water fowl.
While waiting for waders to make an appearance it's also good to keep an eye on the reeds and their surroundings as you can spot common birds like Ballerina bianca but also Cutrettola if you're in luck. When small birds are around birds of prey aren't far behind in the form of Sparviere , Astore , Falco di palude and Lodolaio. Some very lucky birders have also seen Martin pescatore stop briefly on the area.

When the water level is low, there are more open places for waders to forage on and they're easier to spot during those times. The tiny island in front of the beach also becomes accessible by foot at that time.
