Very good mosaic of different habitats, providing suitable conditions for big variety of birds of different groups. Traditional and nature friendly agriculture practices allowed presence of birds as Ghiandaia marina, Upupa, Averla cenerina, Civetta and other. The cliffs on the slopes provide nesting sites to the Picchio muratore di roccia, Cicogna nera, Corvo imperiale and other. On the stony and bushy slopes Coturnice orientale, Monachella, Canapino levantino, Sterpazzolina, Occhiocotto and Bigia grossa orientale can be seen. Sparviere levantino keeps to the tree belts along the river, where Lodolaio can be observed, too. Cicogna bianca nests in the little hamlets in the area are nesting sites of the Passera sarda.
