The observatory at Val Dieu makes it easy to observe the birds on the pond. Although this is a small nature reserve, it is made up of different ecosystems: reed bed, alder grove, wet meadows, streams, birch groves and orchards. Among the interesting species to observe, are Airone bianco maggiore, Martin pescatore, Nibbio reale and Canapino maggiore. The lucky ones will also be able to observe Cicogna nera, Porciglione, or even Beccaccia.

Français: Observatoire donnant sur un petit étang où se développe une roselière, le tout faisant partie d'une réserve naturelle. L'observatoire permet de facilement observer les oiseaux sur l'étang. De plus, si la réserve naturelle est petite, il se compose de différents écosystèmes : roselière, aulnaie, prairies humides, cours d'eau, boulaie et verger. Parmi les espèces intéressantes à observer, on peut noter la Airone bianco maggiore, le Martin pescatore, le Nibbio realeet l'Canapino maggiore. Les plus chanceux pourront aussi observer la Cicogna nera, le Porciglione, ou encore la Beccaccia.

It is possible to get there by car and to park in the car park of the Abbaye du Val Dieu. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The site can be visited on foot. The circular walking route you see on the map is 4 km long.
