With 540 hectares, the Vagevuurbos and the Bulskampveld form the largest forest complex in West Flanders. An area with heather, pools, pine and spruce forest. The area is part of the Bulskampveld landscape park. Birds you may encounter in the area are Picchio rosso mezzano, Picchio nero, Cincia dal ciuffo, Cincia mora, Allocco, Civetta, Sparviere, Poiana, Regolo and Fiorrancino.

Nederlands: Het Vagevuurbos en het Bulskampveld vormen samen met 540 hectare het grootste boscomplex van West-Vlaanderen. Een gebied met heide, poelen, dennenbos en sparrenbos. Het Vagevuurbos en het Bulskampveld maken deel uit van het landschapspark Bulskampveld. Vogels die je in het gebied kunt tegenkomen zijn Picchio rosso mezzano, Picchio nero, Cincia dal ciuffo, Cincia mora, Allocco, Civetta, Sparviere, Poiana, Regolo en Fiorrancino.

Parking is possible at Parking Aanwijs, Reigerlosstraat 69, 8730 Beernem. From there, the area can be explored on foot. There are many trails and many different walks to do. The route indicated on the map is a circular walk of approximately 7 km.
